The latest , on my abdomen above the belly button and my sides above the ribs
A burning sensation w/ no visible signs , rash etc.
On line , I discovered
a) I'm pregnant and the nerves and muscles are being compressed
b) I have one of many conditions , ranging from diabetes to Fibra Myalgia
c) the nerves coming out of my spine are being compressed from any number of causes , slipped disc etc
If the later , the burning is a band across the top of the abdomen
YEP , me
Solution ??? anti - histamine , in case its an allergy
Wait ! Yepper , Wait
Muscle relaxant , in case , tight muscles are causing the compression or displacement
I was diagnosed w/ sacro-iliac pain , so , option c) , could be me
The weather : grey and forebidding. Threat of something.....
Temperature above freezing and going up

On Being Canadian..
...... and the price of oil. We are experiencing the lowest gas prices in years. Note that I didn't say cheap , but low.
The $ Can is taking a beating. We are a resource exporting country , especially oil. Thus , oil prices low , $ Can is low.
For travellers like us , not good.
For exporters , terrific , our goods look a bargain to outsiders
OPEC could have reduced supply and bolstered the price of oil , NO , they want money ,crank out the crude.
Venezuela sure could have used the price increase. You gotta wonder what the heck they're doing
The day is gray and cool not cold but temperatures set to rise , for at least a day.
Alabama plays to - day , in the " Iron Bowl " v. Auburn
Throw out the rules , these guys hate each other
On the good side , for the red colours , Arsenal beat West Bromwich Albion in the English Premier League.

Bleek Friday

The day broke w/ bright sunshine and continues , WeatherBoy reports 25 F on the back porch
To -day , is Football Day at a friends. For 20 years, minimum , this guy has hosted , Thanksgiving Football Day. Long ago , he switched from American TD to Fri or Black Fri.
The gang preferred College games over watching the Bears v Lions
( NFL ) or whoever else got stuck playing
The buffet is Kentucky Fried Rat , pizza, fries , coleslaw and some super rich dessert ( chocolate preferably ).
Then there is a visitation , pre - funeral , as mentioned before
Trivia: In Japan , especially Tokyo , a booming tradition is KFC on Dec 24 for dinner.
And not , the snack pack, status says that you stand w/ a bucket of chicken eating w/ your group
There is a pre Xmas build up , KFC dinner and Xmas day which is low key. Decorations come down on the 25 th and thing start to boil , getting ready for New Years Day which has much greater significance in the Orient

I imagine that this is a northern fringe of the storm that is / did hit the NorthEast.
Friends are heading S over the Alleganies , this morning , bound for W. Virginia and Ft Lauderdale
Asked for advice , 3 weeks ago, I said monitor the weather
Head West to I- 75 , if the weather is dodgy
Nope , the father-in-law ( much experienced and opinionated traveller ) pre - booked accomodations.
Second piece of advice , skip Thanksgiving travelling
Oh well , some things will work out

On line , Amazon has the computer DRAM chip that I need , $ 34 and shipping
Here in Scarborough , many little shops still exist. Furniture , carpets , lights and electronics. after 3 tries , I found a shop w/ my DRAM chip.
Owner : try it here , put it in
Me: I don't think that I could do it here
Owner : $ 10 and I'll put it in
10 minutes later , RAM is now 2 GB in the baby laptop
Thus, drive around a bit 10 minutes and $ 40 , increased memory for processing

I'm not sure all the time especially ,on start up
However , once loaded , eMachine is much faster
And the owner says " if you make it Solid State Drive ( $ 120 ) it will be amazing.
Right , double the cost ( Emach cost $ 140 , originally ) , and way faster ( 5 X )

Wouldn't know what to do w/ a five times faster baby laptop

Through , misfortune and whatnot - all the chores that were piling up disappeared , well , postponed further out then we thought they could be.
OK We'll do bills , these never end. Heck ,you get them after you die - happened to my brother and father.
The winner letter , $ 4.58 cheque from a trust company , a year after the death of my brother. My accountant said ' send it back , we've closed the file '
M needs to buy me a Xmas present - special - big ????

Accomplished , re-fitted an tire air pressure nozzle on the compressor. Originally , the compressor hose had a pressure select switch , which incidentally , stopped working or adjusting after 3 months , I kept it at full , all the time.
Last week , while pumping up the tires , ka - bonga , total failure.
I went looking for parts and then realized that I might be able to re - use the existing parts.
It worked or enough that I could use the compressor to fill 4 tires.
Of course , as the weather cools the tire pressures drop.
The tires were down 3 - 4 lb.
On a not very active day , I surfed and found a YouTube segment on ' Upgrade Your Acer Aspire netbook ' , not mine.
but someone else used the video to upgrade his EM 355 e Machine , this is mine. He gave the part name and configuration.
You got it - I'm upgrading - maybe. I can't find the part that I need.
I'll surf away.

Getting Grim
We have had some grim November news , a friend's mother passed away. Actually ,thats not quite correct , she was a friend.
As well , a school mate also went very quickly , 7 days in fact.
something about grim weather - grim news ... too poetic ???
The wind set about proving that it can do damage. Specific areas of T.O. were blacked out as trees and objects took out power lines.
We are busy catching up on appointments missed , last week.
Things kinda got shuffled up w/ our prolonged absence
The second run through w/ my gutter clearing contraption was a success. 15 minutes and 4 eavestroughs done. The extension is really too long for first floor gutters. Slightly , awkward , some minor adjustments are needed there.
No ladders , no roofs to walk on. Much safer.
In Buffalo ,2 persons fell off their roof clearing snow. Apparently ,when you bounce off hand rails etc , its not the same as hitting snow banks. Go figure
Anyway, I had 2 feet on the ground.

Not a bad song and I was looking for ' Anyone at All ' by Carole King and Carol Bayer Sager , but you'll know it as the theme song for ' You've Got Mail ' starring Hanks and Ryan '.
Yesterday , must have been Tea Leoni day. Watched her in ' You Kill Me ' while on the elliptical and as " Madam Secretary " at night
Weather : sultry ( sultry ??? , Nov 24 ? ) Yep, almost light jacket weather. Then the wind kicked up and its roaring out there now.
