Billy...who

Billy Elliott is a pouf. No, went to the London production of the musical " Billy Elliott " . Firstly, the theatre was the Victoria Palace - replete w/ gild or gilt, plush and three balconies. Older age elegant and a wonderful setting for a play.

We " tubed " it downtown. The names flashing by,  were unique  - Shepherds Bush, Great Portland Rd, Ealing, Hangar Lane and our stop Victoria.
From the "Long, Dark Teatime of the Soul " by Douglas Adams " Kate drove over the flyway and on to Ealing and Acton and Primrose Hill "

Dinner was the Duke of York pub. Great food and turtle like service. Roast beef dinner came w/ the required Yorkshire pudding and two kinds of potatoes - mash and roast. Vegs were peas and carrots.  Dessert was birthday cake, homemade - and properly jammed ( jam for the filling just like mommy used to make.
It does rain here - off and on,  all yesterday... and to-day it seems.
