Rice cooker blues. Alright. We have rice cookers that have stood the test of time. The metal bowl takes a beating. Scratches etc. Likely, these aluminum surfaces are coated w / less reactive material than the aluminum itself. However, wear and tear, leads to leaching of some plstic coating into the food.
To wit. I purchased a ceramic lined rice cooker. Amazon purchase for $ 26. Arrived on time, yet from the beginning, the toggle control was gimmicky. It ceased to function after 2 weeks.
OK. Amazon agrees to swap out the defective one w / a new one. E Z peasy. Staples the office supply outfit, does all the return hassle.
Meanwhile, Amazon shipped the new one - one day service.
New rice cooker is here and awaits trial by me
