🍠 ... on the 261029

🍠 ...  another month dwindling away ...... ' time keeps on drifting into the future ... ' ?

The view from the window seat - hazy, fog ?? cool and wind seems still

Inspected the driveway crack repair. The crack formed at the join between the original driveway asphalt and the repair asphalt from ten years ago when waterproofing the foundation wall was done. The join was obvious and the seam split. If there was a place to happen, then this juncture had advantages. The slope favours water running away and the garage overhang somewhat shelters the area.
Yet, some action was required. As mentioned, retail crack filler does not work on deep [ more than a 1 / 4 in or wider than your little finger ]. Pli - stix was meant to form a solid surface for such crevices.
I asked the associate at HD to wait while I read the description concerning length of the Pli - stix. Well, the package had 30 ft and I needed 20, perfect.
Now, of course, having had to split the licorice into lengths of 1 / 2 width and mostly, as it turned out into 1 / 4 widths, I used 4 ft or less. The instructions suggested pulling the licorice to thin the sections [ fat chance ].
Thus, splitting the lengths was simpler.

There remains the job of filling the finer cracks w / crack repair. You squeeze out the gunk w / a grease gun [ like for caulking ]. That is this afternoon, w / promised temperatures of 20 C

Apparently, not good enough. The neighbour saw the ' patch ' effort and said ' too many inconsistencies [ I did the fill in poorly ]. Positive part is that what I filled in was crucial. Now, I paint over [ asphalt over ] the portion that I deep filled.
Ugly but  - will it do ?
