The Rumble from the Tumble

Our steel roof ( barely 3 years old ) has created a phenomena as we sit watching telly. A low thrum starts that builds in frequency stopping at a level below that of a full thunderclap. Then we hear a kaplunk and there is 100 - 200 cu feet of snow on the patio. Yep, the snow releases from the roof and slides down.
From the start, I put up yellow  ' warning ' tape at access points to the backyard. I'm not sure how effective this is b/c the backyard is not fenced. Burglars or villains could get hit by a ' Landfair landslide '.

So, yes we got snow and heard the rumble last night. Cold and dreary out there to-day and Weatherboy is showing 37 F.
