Film on Review

Readers will recognize that this past 3 weeks has been an intense buying period of  DVDs. From ' Salmon Fish.........Yemen '  to to-day's entries.
" the Fountain " came out long before ' Cloud Atlas ' but if you've seen the reviews for CA, ditto for tF.
Hopefully, no one will call this a piece de resistance for Hugh Jackman or Rachel Weisz, cuz if they do, their lying.

Pros: bright and shiny w/ HJ raging 2 or 3 times. RW is calm and serene.

Cons : it cost me $ 5 and I could have bought 2 1/2 lottery tickets

' the Warrior's Way ' is Kung Fu goes West- ern as in cowboys. To minimize the commentary, the Asian guy is fast w/ the sword and the bad guys have gatling guns mounted to their saddles.
Geoffrey Rush  ( of ' the Kings Speech ' ) is a retired marksman / villain who finds redemption as the sidekick of the swordsman.
The hero doesn't get the girl b/c attachments slow you down in the assassin world.

Do not go out and buy either ' tWW ' or ' tF ' but if you can rent for a dollar don't do it.

" Hugo " is a live people w/ added animatronics or something movie.
Mysterious urchin runs the clock system in the Gare du Nord, Paris and builds the greatest wind-up Automaton in history in his spare time. Overcomes many dififculties and finds a cute girlfriend.  What more could you want in a movie ?

Full of colourful scenic vignettes of Paris and the train station. Cinema graphically, full and dazzling.
This H has been out a while. I first saw this on the plane coming home from England. This mention of ' H  ' is to comment on the fact that you should never judge a film by the way you saw it on the plane.
The plane's sound and video system can ruin any movie.
Liked ' Hugo  ' a lot on land. And this was on a CRT TV.

P.S. I thought it was just the earphone irritation on the plane but its more than that

HAPPY ' Hollow ' - eenies to everyone
