It Happened, encore

A lazy sort of day. Took down the patio furniture ( a sure sign of the changing season ). Blew off the deck, mostly pine needles.

Drove 20 minutes to Hastings, for 2 x 85 cent washers, specifically for an E-Tec outboard. OMG, had to be done.
So, stopped to shop for $45 of DVD s, diet Dr. Pepper and noodles.

Broke my promise and slid out for an hour ( 2 , it was not my fault ). Beuti day. Almost warm compared to yesterday. Wind was gentle and warmish.
Back to jigging on the squid grounds. 3 more walleye. 2 were small and one was over-size.

The first movie, ' the Human Stain ' has Anthony Hopkins as a mulatto who is very white and can ' pass ' as they used to say.
Coleman Silk disowns his mother and gets disowned by the rest of the family.
Coleman is accused of racism after a career in an eastern college. Coleman loses his job, his wife and becomes embittered.
He befriends a writer ( Gary Sinese ) who is supposed to write the story of Coleman's battle w/ the college. GS narrates the movie.
Coleman meets a woman ( Nicole Kidman ) who has a disjointed and humanly sad life story.
She also brings an ex- husband / ex-Vietnam vet into the picture. This introduction will be the end of the couple.

BTW - Coleman never tells anyone about his parents. The one lie that is the foundation of his whole life

Oh, AH is a powerful actor, like you needed to hear this from me.

I'm beginning to think NK can act. Its taken awhile but I'm coming around.

Well its a long winter up here, so, $45 in DVDs is a start.
