the boys are sanding and staining the deck. the wood is 3 / 4 or 4 / 5 sanded. two coats of stain and 
we will bring in the sheaves [ allegorically, speaking ]

this year is a turning point. I am contracting out household maintenance, to wit, gardening or thrashing about in the shrubbery AND now the staining 
ah ! I came down to few options. 
further. I am getting gutter guard installed plus heater cables

follow up. the deck got its first coat of stain. the hope was for 6 hrs of dry time [ before it rained ]
the day has been up and down w / threats of - well, everything !
