Babies and Water ?

OK Is there a connection
In the World by the Numbers - Torstar

Well, the world is in short supply of births - not everywhere but countries e.g. US ,  GBr , Canada , Italy
Italy , where births have fallen off 5 000 between 2012 and 2013
US birthrate 1.9 and ( Canada 1.61 in 2011 )

and , of course , many places that cannot support what they have

Water : Too much in the Phillipines etc , not enough in Australia except where they don't want it . Southern California is dry and Fla , for sure.

See babies and water

Italy's 21 % seniors in the general population is surpassed by Germany's 21.1 %
We're drowning in seniors - physically and financially

As well , the Torstar reported discontent w/ the government
Middle East and Latin America
Now , one needs to ask ' isn't complaining about your government
the status quo '
The politicians are crooks in suits. And some , not even smart crooks

And , 29 out of 34 countries worry that the wealthy have too much political influence
Oh , news to me

" Bitter harvest for India " the TorStar. Slumping cotton prices leave many farmers in massive debt w/ suicide as an escape.

Weather : bright sun , cold and cold winds
We are waiting for our 32 F
The airport here is 0.1 degree away from the all time record for coldest FE

Criminy !

In all the hoopla over the 1000 posts business
I didn't notice that the summary says 10 300 pages recorded
come on , can't be

Weather : OK Hang on two more days -   b/c 32F is on the horizon
right now 32 F is a possibility
Not to - day , minus 11 but appears to be rising during the day

I've decided that I need a new attitude for shooting craps
what it is , haven't the faintest
I'm thinking , more along the lines of ' We shall see '

Overall , its the realization , craps is gambling
The house edge is small if you make the right bets

Sure ! That'll fly
try standing at the table and doing ' safe '
So boring
See thats why I get in trouble
Why do it
Dunno
Ah , b/c its there

We visited our pub , Tara
Its not local b/c we drive 12 min to get there
But they know us by name
and the drinks come almost automatically
black and tan ( Guinness / Harp , layered beautifully )
Pinot Grigio for the boss of bosses
I had ribs ( special ) and M had chicken schnitzel ( special )

A day in the life ? Well , afternoon , well spent
Bonding etc

At Shoppers Drugs , read CVS here
We spent 45 dollars on a newspaper , lotto ticket and junk
The junk included ' the Big Liebovski ' ( sp ? )
Oh - oh , mistake
This movie uses f*** as noun , verb , participle , connector and proper name - so creative  F***

Here comes the sun !!
Here it comes  ( the Fab 4 )

Jackets V2

We are always searching for dinner ideas
Qualifying aspects : fast , healthy , we both like it
Not easy , my friends
Not easy at all
Previously , I recycled the salmon entree and added cheese and paprika , threw the mess on top of a split baked potato
V2
We went w/ bacon and cheese
Baked potato split , toss on the bacon and cheese
Veg was green beans
BTW - very English that combination
The English would have gone w/ strong cheddar and port or sherry flavour the cheese , the bacon would have been back bacon or gamon ( ham steak )

Things that make you go ' uhmm '      Posers
A television commercial has the line ' we've actually switched fast food restaurants '
Come on , give me a break  You switched fast food places
Don't you suddenly decide ' we are not cooking to - night '
or you are out and say ' there ' and go in

I mentioned previously , that data says that in Alabama , 60 % of the average food budget is spent on fast food

The weather is undecided. Cold , very still -winter looking
I said there is a promise of seasonable temperatures
But , to -day you will know its cold

Movie review : the story , we needed to re - new our Costco  membership. Needed ? Never mind , we did
Job 1 , buy a sonic toothbrush kit. My new cap produced some side effects - a large gap ( well , bigger than it should be ) between the capped tooth and the one in front. A gathering place for food particles and bacteria. The solution is increased hygiene , a sonic toothbrush.
Thus , I end up w/ a tooth cleaning device that is smarter than me

Along w/ the essentials , came almonds , 2 DVDs , shrimp ( raw , frozen ) Oh , and 2 yrs supply of xtra brush heads

The DVDs , both winners , really
'' big Hero 6 ", fun , super animation job -     really worth the price , $ 22 as a Blu Ray
" the Theory of Everything " , the Stephen Hawking story
excellent but wrong ,who cares
dramatic license

1 001

dalmatians ?
No , that was 101 - Fluffy and Sport , whatever

The temperature is up a handful of degrees - we'll be almost seasonable by the week end
The snow never really came to much last night , blowing  , yes
accumulation , no

This morning , off to the dentist to finish a dead tooth problem. Its been eight weeks since the root canal and temporary stuffing w/ anti - bacterial twine and the non - permanent filler. The probabilities were not good on this situation. The worst didn't happen and it seems the best , did

In the world , well , you can read the newspaper and whatever else you do besides this blog. The best that I can say , there are safe countries and even there , a cocooning effect is occurring , at a time when more and more people are fleeing Africa , the Middle East and yes, Europe for safer parts of Europe.

P.S. got to the dentist early
then was told an emergency surgery back logged everyone
upside , there was no one left after me
he could drill to his heart's content
spent 45 min w/ the rubber dam in my mouth , DAMN
After some re - engineering all was good
temporary cap in place
Well , not all good
the to - be capped grew in crooked under the front side tooth
Dr Driller shaved the front tooth
The other possibility : leave the root - canaled tooth uncapped
pray that the tooth doesn't collapse or shatter
Nope
we are capping the tooth

Officially 1 000 Posts

Yes , this blog has reached 1 000 posts

I'm assuming that means a span of 2 plus years , maybe approaching very close to 3.
If you go back into the archives , you'll see that the original premise was a ' two sentence posting ' type of blog
Pithy and insightful
then it dawned on me while one is possible both is / are beyond me

Now , its a major venting venue for
well , me
I scan the papers and listen on the buds at night. BTW - I've cut back a lot on that ' on the buds ' thing. While away , the facilities were not conducive to bud listening.
And I'm sleeping from ten or so til 7:30 , sorry Paul Simon but I do  ' Expect to sleep through the night '

You've realized that I disdain the press in general. " News " isn't
new or informative or correct.
Spin on spin is the way that I see the press reports.
Watching ' All the President's Men ' simply reinforced that view point.

What would I like to see here at ' two sentsworth ' as , say , improvement
Dunno

One thing that I've seen , customer feedback is a dangerous thing
When blogs get popular , all sorts of nasty comments come flying back Some blogs shut down for that reason
I've been lucky

Thus , I've decided to limit readership to a handful
I've made my decision based on two plus years of experience
besides in 2 years thats all people that ever signed up
I'm a self - limiting system
Thats a rare thing in systems analysis

A bit of advice. Do not go out and buy ' Malibu Rum Sparkler '
The bottle was a Xmas present. The drink is rum , natch , w/ lime and coconut overtones. M thinks the taste is mouth curdling.
I finished the bottle b/c I'm cheap , waste not , want not

As well ,I bought a UK staple drink called PIMM's #1
A gin based drink that is herb flavoured and secret.
On a recent o/vnight segment ( on the buds ) a young lady writer was commenting on the revival of gin as a drink of choice.
Apparently , the martini craze died out a decade or so ago.
A void was filled when ' apple - tini s ' and similar cocktails made a faddish leap into popularity.
Pimm's #1 is typically taken w/ lemonade. The expert suggested doing what many do - add gin. Pimm's #1 is approx 18 % alcohol.

How is my Pimm's experiment going ? Not well. The Pimm's is not quite as exotic as those English murder mysteries make it out to be.
Or I think that Pimm's sounds exotic is more likely the problem.

Many of little likes are English based. much of my reading and watching involves English murder mysteries.
When M first met me , she couldn't believe the English habits that I had. I watched Coronation Street , the English soap opera.
I enjoyed food items such as , toad in the hole , fried bread , potato bread etc
Small wonder that I'm right at home in jolly Ole England

Weather : grey , very , very  ,very cold
Its cold
Snow on the way , light flurries , a tad more maybe

On the horizon
I'm going to make my own Pimms
this will require much experimentation
and much gin
way too much gin

What the hey , its post # 1 000

Records Fall

Not the coldest FE yet but yesterday was the coldest day Feb 22 on record at the airport. Minus a gazillion or 2.

The sun burst out to - day to mock the frigid air.

I skipped the Oscars and missed Lady Gaga do a good job.
Good job.

Oh , I came back from holidays 0 lbs heavier or lighter than when we left. Success ?
We shall see said the Zen master

The week ahead
Dunno

A little more shovelling out back , maybe This time the work will be maintenance or tidying. Yesterday , 400 lb of snow slid off the steel roof while I was out there. It missed. I was under the porch part and it would have missed at any rate. The rumble gave it away.

There has been a new series from PBS called ' Grantchester '. A vicar in the village outside of Cambridge , UK , becomes involved in the lives of his neighbours and murder. I've seen 6 episodes. Five were taped while I was away. One episode taped o/vnight. Stunning ,  no.
Interesting , yes. Should you watch. The criteria would be : do you want better than average production values , and solid portrayals of characters.  Heads and tails above the usual stuff that I notice on other stations.

Have a wonderful day
Wear your mittens and a scarf

P.S. my new dressing for the cold theory is ' more scarf and less coat '

Consistency

...... the last refuge of the unimaginative "      Oscar Wilde
And that man did have an imagination and was wild

Me , not so much.

The weather is GWN winter but way colder than average. Our average is the freezing point give or take - mostly take.
Gray skies and the machines are trying to get us back to driveable roads.
And it gets colder in a day
I was out shovelling yesterday. First , the back deck to facilitate the placement of a ladder. The ladder to clear the skylights in the kitchen ceiling - more light
Then , the back patio in front of the glass doors. The steel roof lets massive amounts of snow - likely a driveway's worth to fall onto the patio stones. I move the snow away from the patio to ensure the melt moves to the lawn first and not the sill of the windows.
As well ,the sun never reaches the patio stones in winter or spring.
Mission accomplished.

The Oscars are to - night. Noper , I don't watch. Reason #1 , we rarely have seen any of the selections - this year , 3 , Imitation Game , Boyhood and the Grand Budapest.
Couldn't care a fig , except to voice my tuppence worth of opinion in social situations. We are not media savvy or anything savvy

I think that I mis numbered the blogs , this is # 998

1000 postings. We will need to ponder this
As I've noted , most blogs die an ignominious death , through expediency in this modern life , or maybe , the blogger sees the less than righteous or valuable need for the blog

OK , boyo , whats your excuse
Dunno , I look forward to the process

The Topic is Jackets

The only person who could ever compete w/me in the owning jackets department , was my Dad.
Scientific types will note that buying habits are not genetically controlled - they are wrong , trust me.
Many times , my  brother who borrowed freely from both myself and dad , would show up and hear both of us saying to him ' you're wearing my jacket , aren't you ? '

M knows that if go to buy pants there is a strong chance that I'll come home w/ a coat instead of pants.
Leaving Fla , this year , I left a raincoat behind on purpose which action totally flumoxed M.
Not as strange as you might think b/c I was swapping out. I bought a Nautica brand jacket and replaced the old one

To -day was jackets of a different kind. A baked potato. Is a jacket in England. Here the ' jacket ' would be primarily a side. There it becomes a meal. While travelling , I think I've seen baked potatoes sold almost as a dish , entree.
M baked the potatoes - she's English mix , meaning part every nation in the UK.
I took over and
Added butter to the split jackets , parmesan cheese , salmon ( yepper , left over beer poached salmon ) pepper and cheddar cheese to top it off. Microwave for 2 minutes , til cheese droops and sprinkle on the paprika ( colour and vitamin C )
Winner , winner chicken dinner
No jacket dinner
A hit out of the park
I always say that when I cook
So modest
I blog
What can I say

We have snow to - day and much warmer temperatures. Cold returns in 2 days.

#997

For those few , the brave , the desperate - my audience
Yes , you've survived 996 postings - thats not whippings , thats postings
I'm re - watching the movie ' Julie and Julia ' , where a somewhat lost urban 30 something tries to find purpose in NY. A promising journalism student , she ' slaves ' away at the 9/11 memorial , fielding calls for reparations and the monument.
It doesn't hurt that the star is Amy Adams.
Her heroine is Julia Child ( Meryl Streep ) and her goal becomes - to make the 500 or so recipes in the cookbook in one year. To keep track and use her skills journalistically - she blogs.    Her pet peeve ' I've never finished anything '
Sounds familiar to me.
Narcissism gone bonkers , so says Mr 996

BTW - got off my proverbial backside and investigated TracFone.
Can I use TracFone services and my i Phone 4s.
Yes !!!!!
I  can sign up for a monthly plan
Right , it appears that they do not offer the pay in advance roll over plan for imported phones
Aha , never that easy
As well , to qualify the imported phone ( i Phone ) must already be on a network. Thus , it seems that I take the i Phone to states , sign up for a plan ( Verizon ? ) and then tell TracFone that I wish to switch to them
This information is all thats available on their website.

Weather : We are going to set that record , coldest FE ever at the airport ( BTW , its pretty darn cold here as well ). The sun burst out this morning blasting away at the snow banks. Nice try , Mr Sun.

TracFone

The legend continues... I'm still looking for the cheapest way to have a cell phone
TracFone - nation - wide in the continental U.S. sells the phone for between 14 - 20 dollars plus 10 min air time and a 60 day service period. We have added 400 min ( doubled b/c the box says double min. )
I now have 2 200 min and M has 900 min
OK I goofed. I didn't trust TracFone at the beginning. I bought a 60 day air card for $20 ( mistake #1 ) and then a 60 day card ( mistake #2 ) and then realized that TracFone really did roll over min and service period. Well , by then my minutes had climbed above 400 min. And since have purchased 2 , one year cards. My service expires Apr 2016. M 's phone is serviced til JU 2016.

Its not my fault , how was I supposed to know , that TracFone meant what it said in the advertising. Hardly any company rolls over min let alone service periods.

And now , someone mentioned TracFone will probably allow you to use your ( my ) i Phone 4s
Simply buy a SIM card. Crap. Now they tell me
Ah , but wait , its never simple
We shall see said the Zen Master

And its still f***********g freezing
Two more days of this temperature minus whatever , T.O. or our airport will set the all time record for coldest February since time began or the airport kept records - not really the same - is it

The sun was blazing away and lit up the dragons celebrating Chinese New Year. At the VERY FAIR Chinese restaurant , the dragon people drummed , clanged and bopped around in the dragon suit for 1 1/2 h. Blessing each table w/ cabbage and getting money

Life in the almost GWN

Regular readers now recognize that we who live in Southern Ontario , take a lot of criticism for using the phrase Great White North. We ' southerners ' are considered urban wimpoids b/c we don't know what real ' northerners ' go through in a winter.
Nay , we know its f********* freezing

The top stories for T.O.
Canadian Wins - this is big , we win so little  Canadian beagle is best in show at the Westminister Kennel Club dog show
The Liberal government ( your Democrats ) are mostly absolved of blame in a gas plant cancellation that reportedly cost $ 1 Billion to perform.
The above ground subway froze or not. The officials don't know if the track froze or the car froze - its broke and not fixed

BTW - world news , schools in Liberia and Sierra Leone ( Ebola central ) will open w/ precautions. Infection rates are falling rapidly

Who ' Orange ' You ?

are the theme song lyrics from ' CSI ' the original , as quoted by M.
The real lyrics are ' who are yoouuu ?  Ooh , ooh '

In the TorStar , this week end , by the numbers
Death in the Groves
Orange trees are dying off , plaqued by a ' citrus greening ' disease.
Once in the tree , the greening kills the tree
75 000            orange workers , 4 years ago
18 %        squeezed out of orange businesses
89                    million boxes of oranges shipped this year
242                  million boxes of oranges shipped , a decade ago
1                      $ billion decline in revenues from orange

The upshot , experts fear the elimination of the orange industry from Fla.

China to Russia by high speed train for $ 305 billion Canadian. Two trains a week run , now , from Beijing to Moscow in 5 days. The higher speed link will be done in 2 days.

We saw the film ' Imitation Game ' concerning the life of Alan Turing. In the TorStar , an obituary , appeared for Charles Townes
the inspiration for the laser. The ' laser ' inspiration for the ' phasar ' in StarTrek , is now a mainstay of modern technology.

The weather is Brrrrrr ! but warmer to - day by 12 degrees and the wind is really down. All the hibernating animals , i.e. us , are going out. I shovelled the walk , yesterday , to prove that I'm not a total coward. Not bad ,but cold.
The house is some 70 % back to normal ,items put away from travel mode. Wash is going well. Some items are missing - chargers etc.
6 weeks is long to be away

Hopeless

Everyone needs to know what are the limits of hopeless-ness

Yes , its freezing out there , - 14 F incl wind chill. To - morrow should be 6 or 8.
But the Toronto Maple Leafs are re - building. You have to give them some credit. Losers of 14 of the last 15 games and w/out a Stanley Cup since 1967.   1967

Lets see , I was in Gr 13 getting ready to apply to University of Toronto.

The General Manager of the Leafs was given the go ahead to start the re - build
Now hopeless-ness : Jokinen a 19 yr NHL veteran gets traded to the Leafs from the Nashville Predators. Hopeless  ? Olli drops 26 places in the standings. Surprise !!! Olli may not stay w/ the Leafs.
But the Leafs are not in last place.
See. Hope , where you least expect it.

To quote Emily Dickenson

Success is counted sweetest
By those who ne'er succeed
To comprehend a nectar
Requires sorest need

Not one of all
The purple host
Who took the flag to - day
Can tell so clear
The definition of victory
As he defeated dying
On whose forbidden ear
The distant sounds of triumph
Break agonized and clear

Ah , yes , ' Hope springs eternal ' _________________ ?

So ,  we're hibernating again to - day waiting in hope for + temperatures and less wind chill

Ululating

... got home and the DVD in the machine was ' Avatar ' ala Cameron  and the scene was Jake hunting from the air
and the closed captioning was ' ululating '.
Let me tell you - we was ululating when we got off that plane

The wind ' cut like a whetted knife ' ( Sea Fever , John Masefield )
The cold was cold
We were in 30 MPH winds - the snow was flying itself along the ground on the runways
The wind chill got the temperature down to 0 F

We ordered chicken in and tipped the delivery dude xtra bucks for
coming

Oh Canada , why is you so cold
or as they said in the ' Missouri Breaks ' why did they put Canada way up here '

The tap water had ice slivers in it - we had drinks and didn't need to add ice cubes

Ah , good to be home
Soak up the sun down there

Consulting the I Ching

On leaving Fla
Was sat aquarium
fish swim and dive
Food was the excellent
Company proves the good
Consider this omen

The Duke of Chou
Commentaries on the Judgment of King Wen

First line : We see the alignment of the North and South
Province meets state and countries fall to - gether.
Fifth line : The harmonies of the centre locate all sentries

See !!! I can do the I Ching thingy
And it makes almost as much sense
Throw those sticks

Weather : Sunny as all get out
Air is cold tho'

Bummerino

We are spending the final day in SPB
The news from the land of the Black and Blue ( Hopkins' colours )
, the season opened with a 7 - 5 loss to local enemies Towson.
Yick !

Weather is cool but sunny like you wouldn't believe
We are headed home to 19 F and snow of some kind and amount
Predictions are for 1 in and bit o / v night and maybe during the day.
We shall see said the Zen Master

Doggie Days.......

..... are what happens when we visit Derby Lanes , the greyhound racing venue
Normally ,the drill is we wait for a Wednesday or Friday and sit in the buffet dining room on the 6 th floor. The buffet isn't bad for a buffet. You sit and eat and watch the doggies.
This time, we opted for the 4 th floor Derby Club. This mezzanine area overlooks the track directly through the floor to ceiling glass.
The area is a lounge and we got a corner nook w / bench seating.
The appetizers were Asian won tons w/ creamy chicken filling.
Each of us had a different menu option , cobb salad / hot dog (Nathans ) , meatloaf surprise ( surprise ! its meatloaf ) and philly beef ( ??? ).
We enjoyed ourselves and didn't lose our shirts. neither did the dogs

Weather is sunny...... wind was up yesterday and both days have been cool to cold in the AM , topping out at 60 + NO RAIN

Arrgh !!!!!! Spent 45 minutes trying to log on to TRACFONE
I enter the e mail address and PW , hit submit. While the screen is
thinking the e mail address turns to all capitals. The screen blinks and produces the window ' your information is incorrect and not recognized '
Duh , cuz you changed it , stupid site or machine ( mine ?? )
Arrgh !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Take that you stupid computer system or whatever

Tuesday 10 February 2015

And the State of Ohio......

......... is waiting for this review of ' Gone Girl ' , the murder mystery thriller by Gillian Flynn ( screenplay as well ).
A bit long and drawn out. Maybe even , slightly anti - climactic for some. At times , the movie seemed to touch on the reality show genre. Building slowly , the action levelled out somewhere around an hour.
We hung on til the end , I mean dessert was coming.
The rating , Ben Affleck , actually a role even he couldn't pooch too badly. Rosalind Pike , beautiful and almost believable - Neil Patrick Harris , a pitiful job that they gave him. The lead detective was the best ( ????  who ).
The Redbox score 0.6 / 1.0.

And we had dessert shots - cutey plastic cups , even

Weather : cool for here but the sun charged out of the gate - and we're even drying out a bit form the thunderstorms and deluge that hit for the afternoon
We will take this on the chin and go about the day

Tough it out , its worth it

Monday 9 February 2015

When the Rain is ...

........ blowing in your face
and the whole world is on your case "

the words of Bob Dylan
and its true to -day
The dawn broke dark and threatening
The sun smashed through and grey started back into the sky
A few drops hit the deck and kablooey she opened up , real good

The song above is '  ( just ) To Feel Your Love '. Another example where the cover of the song is better than the original ( Dylan )
Covered by Garth Brooks ( used in the movie ,  ' Hope Floats '
w/ Harry Connick Jr and Sandra Bullock ) and everybody and his brother and most versions beat the original. And I'm a Dylan fan.

Keep your chin up

The Intercoastal .....

waterway is calm ,deceptively blue green. I say deceptively b/c up close , whatever green it is - not clean looking. however ,many times its like that - faraway not bad ..  get nearer.
Snoopy of Charlie Brown fame called it the ' butterfly ' syndrome not to be confused w/ the ' if a butterfly flaps it's wing in Tokyo ...... ' effect.

The boats are out in full force ,cruising , roaring or whatever they are supposed to be for , and some are fishing
Actually fishing has improved. in fact , this last 5 days , I've come close to the total of the first 4 weeks. To -day , I caught a lizard fish which ' George ' the heron wolved down. And a medium sand perch
which became cut bait egret food and heron appetizer - everyone got a piece.

On a bueti day , we hope you're doing well

A Winter Tale

The neighbours down the hall were involved in a trek to the marine aquarium to see ' Winter ' the dolphin of tailless fame. This adventure was part of a present to a young relative. We have not heard the details , as of yet.

Alright  , Alright  , how is this different from any other story here or in the media
We don't know much yet - here's what we don't know
Ya da da da
We don't know much ,    there

Weather - coldish wind but blue sky and wispy clouds
We will tough it out , regardless We have that pioneering spirit
70 F,  we'll find a way to make do

' Don't Cry for Me Argentina ' or Philadelphia or Las Cruces

You can tell that I'm in a fey mood

Be well

P.S. Post # 985

Friday 6 February 2015

Leaving Canada

Target stores are going and so is RedBox ( my movie rental forum )
- this means we'll need a new scale for movies

Weather , chilly all day but brilliant sunshine
Fishing was superb - 6 sand perch came to the dock for me
I was however out fished , someone landed a whiting

Thursday 5 February 2015

Sooner or later

someone has to call your bluff
In this case , I'm going to say that its another blah day
All right , yes , it seems that I've said the same thing for a week now
but it is
Problem , when your day is not focused , as is the situation here
- any day could qualify
M does have a cold or mini flu - either will do
and the weather is overcast and threatening - it did pour last night
our day could mirror the weather
Nor hot , not cold ,not windy ( a little ) , damp and uncertain

Take it all in stride
Go with the flow or not flow

Wednesday 4 February 2015

' Mariah '

" Out here they got a name for rain , for sun and wind and fire
The Sun is Job , The rain is Tess
And they call the wind.........   " ( by memory , you better check )

Well , the tank is ' Fury ' , the movie is Fury. This effort is a Brad Pitt exclusive. The ' Sarge ' and most likely to survive the war. Confident but getting worn down by , well , war and war and war
and its still war
At the Redbox $1.60 , fresh out in the box

A friend saw the movie and said 'pile'em high ' as in bodies
Definitely not politically correct , in any sense , perhaps more akin to ' Saving Private Ryan ' than any other movie w/ less sentiment.
I didn't cry at the end of ' Fury '.
Still , a 0.6 / 1.0 rating - not bad and yesterday was not a good day for any sort of adventure. M has a cold or somesuch and we ate from the Publix deli counter.
The chicken parmesan combo came with a chicken cultlet smothered in sauce and the lady added a mozzarella slice and Parmesan sprinkles then put potato wedgies and mac 'n cheese as sides. We are still eating from the box. maybe , the treat of the week.
Oh , and w/ coupon in hand ( $ 1 off ) , I bought '  Smuckers brand ' Uncrustables '. These snacks are PB & J minus the crust and delicious. 200 cal a round and loaded w/ fat. Love 'em
They'll kill me or my diet or both

Weather is sunnier , cool and rain looming - probably dumping on us to - night.

Get some Mac 'n cheese ... somehow satisfying and very much like home

Tuesday 3 February 2015

Dominated

The wind took control last night and is doing its thing
The north wind is bringing the much cooler air over the state
Brilliant sunshine tho'

' A Ruskie don't take dump without a plan , son '   from the  ' Hunt for Red October '
Oops , we don't have one yet
Maybe a walk , shopping
Shopping is like a daily ritual
what do we do back home
Well ,we are not going to waste much time on that train of thought

Stay warm , stay dry

Monday 2 February 2015

O/cast

The sun broke through and scrambled back in again
Wind is light and warm
Threats of rain from the gulf
Not a day of high ambition
Maybe not a day of high anything

If you went to a warm deck w/ lots of ambience got a burger and wings + 4 drinks = $ 50 : A Stupor Bowl triumph
A deal ?  Maybe
We stayed home and vegged
We excel at vegging

Will let you know if big stuff happens
Do not hold your breath

Sunday 1 February 2015

Why ?

Zephyrs waft across the lawn
The leaves sparkle as they flit in the breeze
The drainage pump is singing

This is why margaritas at noon is not a good idea

Well ,we were trying to hit the bar ( Shells ) before the StuporBowl parties start
We succeeded but Margaritas by 1 is the result
I heard a girl say that if you don't have a tequila story then you really haven't lived
Oh ho , I do

We passed a 12 ft high New England Patriots  balloon helmet on the way to the bar

Thats the sum total of our day , pathetic but nice

Have a good 'un
