We got tennis , basketball , soccer etc players along w/ people who strive for excellence and hope to get a pittance to cover costs.

However , seeing some of the faces during interviews after the swimming - well , I guess it does mean something - the Olympics

We watched last night and yes , got interested and even excited

Me :  thats why I've got 3 or 4 wrist devices at home

This time , it kind of snuck up - maybe, 2 weeks or so , the wrist was slightly uncomfortable
last Tuesday while casting on the river - the pain shot up the hand to the wrist.

Apparently , my appetite was not affected
Bull shots ( beer and clamato ) seems to help
I mean drinking them !

Vad Else ?

We use to visit a Jewish Deli , little old lady there , gave you your package and said " Vad else ? "

Yesterday , the back up for the computer wouldn't work.  I tried both the in house back up for W10 and the external dashboard,
Both will start and then abort the job.

Crap !

Trouble shooting here I come.

The lawn actually needed cutting , yesterday

The baby laptop is a miracle. Really , I was , maybe , two tics from junking it and buying a replacement. The research was done and the new laptop optioned out.
Just a royal pain to start , to wait for programs e.g. 3 minutes to load gmail and tens of seconds to switch inside the gmail program.
And every process was dodgy.

Then W 10 comes along and
the touchpad came back to function
the gmail function loads in seconds , not instant but , reasonable
Now ,to be fair , the baby laptop did get stripped down to bare minimum in re: programs.
Still , the baby laptop is almost fun to use.
To wit , babyLT sits in the living room ( and it is a ' living room ' ,where we spend 60 - 70 %of the day ) , w/  a lap table.
Right now , thats how baby LT is being used.

Weather is H/ H but doable but will worsen for the next 2 days and acolder front comes through late Sat Pm , bringing very moderate conditions for 3 days.
And despite everything that I've said re : the grass , the news anchors are still asking for rain for the crops.

On a radio garden call in show , the guest host was explaining that many garden veggies won't germinate in higher heat conditions , I think he said spinach and other leafy greens being in that category.

Persuasive , or Not

... in times where jobs are hard to come by , invent a job.
On the radio show , ' Age of Persuasion' hosted by Terry O'Reilly , the topic is advertising and related back stories.
On an episode , 3 weeks ago , the topic of new endeavours came up. A truck rolls around w/ a sign on the side " Anger Room ". For a price , you step into the truck and ' vent '. Clients pay to toss  objects and slam furniture. Most popular , are tossing TVS etc.

OR / ' Relax in Here ' , on a truck. Yepper , luxury on wheels , everything , and you sit there or whatever.

Weather , yes , we have weather
And green grass on the front lawn. Now , most people have a green ( or non - brown , at least )lawn after our 2 rain episodes. Ours , seems a little greener - sort of ' the grass isn't greener ' on the other side of the fence.

Always the Last One ???

Seems so. I'm changing the spark plugs on the outboard. First time since it was bought 7 yrs ago. Bout time !

Bought everything that I thought that I'd need. Got started.
1 st 2 plugs getting harder but done
The third ???????  crap.
Couldn't budge a screw on the spark coil thingy ( give me a break , its a black box the plugs into the spark plug ) , it had to move to get the third spark plug. Nope.
Next door comes over to look and says ' take off the side cover '
The top screw isn't accessible w/ the tools that I've got on hand.
tried for 1/2 h and said ' Done '

The engine ran great next morning.  Maybe , its running on the one spark plug that I didn't change ?  Who knows

Found a small box wrench for the that screw.

Weather continues its H / H pattern.
How much browner will the grass get ?

The show scares me or more precisely I'm worried that I'll catch the ' bug ' of buying junk...... cuz I'm close to doing it anyway.
I find it hard to drive by a garage sale w/out stopping.  My best deal was from across the street. I bought a ' new ' daddy made small table. For $ 25.  People assume that I paid $ 125.
And I did pay $ 125 for a round oak table w/ 3 leaves in 1975. I screwed up the refinishing - I used a sander to take off the goop on the table -- bad. Thus , we have a round oak table for the dining room.
M beat the pants off of me - the round oak coffee table that we use - well , she got for free.

But I'm not into rust - TG
