except that's a lot of 'sending ' and a bunch of ether [ a polite way of saying  ********* ]

report : this particular Chromebook has developed a glitch.
when I try to clear ' browsing history ' or cache
the process starts and the spinning arrow keeps going
I shut down the page and return to the settings page - the cache is cleared
but I'm positive that shutting down an active page [ settings : history ]cannot be good in the long run 

" computers " ...... ARRGH !!!!
