Far left is the corner of the neighbour s house. The silver leaf dogwoods make a loose border about 30 ft from the window. There are sentinel pines as you swing right. In the background are the trees of the slope of the ravine. And next a wall, that is now a full year old. The right side is dominated by the furthest pine. 

I thought that to appreciate some scene that it is best to share. And there is the danger of taking that view for granted. No one else does. Many have commented on the way the lookout makes them feel.

And I have a recommend. I'm watching prime video and found a new offering a series called The English w/ Emily blunt who is kind of cute.A little violent though and lots of racial inequality. This is not the ra ra look at the wild West didn't we do great things out there instead? It's pretty realistic

Remembrance Day

 so we've got 5:30 in the morning and I'm waiting for the coffee to perk. I guess I'm up the day starts.

I suppose that somehow, Remembrance Day or Veteran s Day meant something

However, 3 years ago, we stood in the underground bunker where Winston Churchill stood on the last day ' of the Battle of Britain '. Calling "the morning of September 15, 1940 the Battle of Britain Day, acknowledges that after a months long desperate air struggle between the RAF and the Luftwaffe, something broke.

As we looked up at the " big board " we saw no green lights. You see that morning every fighter was airborne - no reserves.

The Luftwaffe lost so many planes [ and crews ] that the High Command could not envision surviving if they continued.
Thus, the Battle of Britain, ended. The skies over their Island home of Britain were secured !  

Would the ' far flung colonies and member states of the Commonwealth and their allies ' have continued the fight against Germany [ and Italy] ? Who knows !

But the September morning, ' never have so many, owed so much to so few ' spoke Churchill.

Well, I'm up at 6 AM, flet like typing.

The day is cool to cold.The wind is a factor, gusting enough to swirl the ground cover. But crisp is the word.

So, in a self absorbed effort, I'm concentrating on furthering my weight control program. I'm controlling carbs. Especially, bread. Asking beforehand, ' do you really need that '. 
And substituting,

 Matzo crackers. You see, the sale said ' Streitman's Passover Matzos Wafers ' regular $4.99 now ' $ 0.99 '. OK, how cheap can you get ?

The wafers are the sheets of crackers, unleavened and about the flavoufulness of re - constructed sawdust. But if you are going to snack !, Well, less salt [ none ] and very little oil.

' Desperate times, desperate moves ' !!!!

Of course, I am hoping to become gleeful and exuberant, as I lose the 5 # [ 10 ? ]. However, for pure health reasons, makes sense.
Did you know that I won't cut out beer ? The thought process says ' cut out everything and you'll quit ' out of frustration.

Reduce cookie consuption and smaller amounts at each sitting.

The day opens w/ clear skies   [ maybe, the window view isn't exatly wide open ]. However, a relatively peaceful day in store.
Our adventure, was medical. M.. s back has been suspect and added to that her balance is poor and a shakiness in the hands.

Our appointment was w/ ' physiologist '. Well, it turns out that the guy was a ' traffic cop ' of doctors.
Lets do these tests b/c things like this overlooked.   But primarily,  we '' do X rays and cortisone injections but you need to see some other specialists.

Wow ! talk about confidence building

This weather turned out pretty good. Cool, but sunny w/ a bit of chill in the air

 "" and the cold weather is on its way. They're calling it a Colorado low bringing much colder air to Southern and Northern Ontario.

 But as well the tropical storm building in the south Atlantic is also going to draw this cold air and rain w/ snow further north. That's our weather for the next 5 days. ""

A sunny and warm day arrived w/ fairly gusty winds.

Shopping early to the Supercentre and household chores and inspection of the cathedral ceiling.

Thus, yesterday, I did my Sunday AM weigh in [ to see how bad thing are getting or staying ]. Well, for the first time in at least a year and a half, likely longer, I weighed in under 180 # [ 179.4 ].
What does this mean?  Good.
I have been monitoring my food choices and amounts, slightly more assiduously. Realizing, this result was once and not a trend. I was 182.4 # about a week ago. 

Keep up the good practices.

A sidenote concerns your weight or people s weight.
My observation has always been ' I'd lose the weight [ 10 # ] if I knew thin people that are happy '
I'm sure that there are but the real question ' if I'm slightly pudgy, am I happy '
would I ever be happy
