we have tons of gadgets and no place to put them.
Slap chop came as a joke and it is. The best tho' was an Oscar food processor.
Oscar dates to 1986 or so. Still in use on a regular basis. Oscar has a home in a drawer. Designing the kitchen, I refused the base model cabinets w/ cupboards and shelves. All drawers except corner units. And we added pull out pantries - floor to ceiling w/ shelves accessible from both sides. However, 2 are in places next to the wall < thus, one side access, mostly > unless you reach around a bit.
Still far superior than static cupboards. AND storage is a problem. Foremost, is the pack rat problem. Me. Yes, ' throw out' is a phrase that is spoken but not followed.
It will come in handy. Recently, a group of used chopsticks, numbering maybe 80 pieces were repurposed as landscape fabric stakes. I drilled small holes in the fat end and inserted a toothpick. The Home Depot sells landscape stakes at 6 for 7 dollars. You got it < 80 ? > a bloody fortune. Now, who saves chopsticks - Me.
