Hold that Tiger ...... What I notice is the emphasis on brands. Not necessarily National big names but Debbie Travers [ fashionista and designer ] has a line of home doo - dads - sheets etc. We own a few Debbie Travers make items e.g. baskets, kitchenware.

Debbie T s motto ' fashionable but cheap as chips ' [ she s British ? ]
As well, Tiger features its own house label called' Mountain Ridge ' usually clothes.
And ' chips ' ain't cheap

Today I purchased Dawn dish soap [ b/c I use Dawn eveywhere and for everything ] and dish washer tabs. Tomatoes were a good price. Really, the food items tend to be packaged and frozen or both.

  no chips   oops ! yes, chips. I got ' quinoa puffed ' snacks. OMG ! We won't eat that but a friend will and its her present.

Back to the title. The forecast said ' cold, windy and snow [ building ] through the day '. Thus, get out early, prior to greasy and dangerous roads.
Cold, yes - windy, insane. A sun in a patchy blue sky. It wasn't only me. Shoppers avoided going out [ the walking crowd, I figure ]. Limited patrons, empty aisles and limited staff.
It s 11:30 AM and no snow. But they say its coming.

A report on ' control plan ' for me. Weigh was 177.4 # and thats up form Thursday. However, we stay the course. The rationale was that sensible eating pays long term dividends.

Alright. Yes, the weather turned. About midday, clouds rolled in, the winds picked up and nasty, nasty started.

Well I got up to pee must have been 5:15 - 5:30 something like that. Anyways, I started making up a little speech speech. I don't know what I'm talking about but it kept me awake and

 it went something like this.

{ There is this Zeitgeist about cell phones or cell phone users.
I don't know how to explain it.
I don't know which group I'm talking about. Is it an age? delineation is it a cultural one? I don't know. Is it a school or thought I don't know?

But it seems that there are rules. I don't know another term for it and I see it and feel it in the way people talk about cell phones.

Cell phones are always available. I'm having trouble putting it into words of course, but it goes something like the old sort of joke that went  "more. Of course there is more. That's what more means. "
 I really believe that there's this population of people out there that believe that cell phones are meant to be and are always going to be available.

Next cell phones are indestructible.
They are organic. You drop them. They bruise and then they heal. It's almost incredible people drop their phones and they go. 'Oh,  that's nothing. I threw it down the stairs at school and it went down 20 steps and I just picked it up and used it ! '
and I really believe that there is this set of people out there that truly believe that the reason that there are mats and carpeting and other flooring devices that are purpose-built to make sure that the cell phone does not get hurt.

And finally, I would probably phrase it, that the cell phone is ' me ' or something like that.

The cell phones get their own decorations, personalized. That's the term.
 As well, the cases that people have decorated with sequins and you know buttons and decals that sort of thing. It's just it's just absolutely amazing and I really believe that that particular zeitgeist is that the cell phone is me ' my personality '.

And then there is the the need for new cell phones like the one I have now. But there's something new coming along for sure.
I remember thinking, a few years ago, ' what, folding cell phones are coming back ? '.
I remember when I had a flip phone and the first opportunity came and I got a solid one piece cell phone. Who wanted a flip phone ?

Indeed in the bleak midwinter well, it's 29 Fahrenheit out there. The high is going to be 34. It is cold. Just popped out to grab the paper.  that was cool!
 Anyways, this is my dictation start for this blog episode.
I guess that you wouldn't be able to tell the difference b/c I do dictate into the phone and then correct.
The ability of the phone to recognize syntax and structure of the dictation is a marvel.

' Control ' is the term that I'm using for my weight reduction plan. Did I say, that Thur weigh in produced a 176.6 #. Alright, ' control ' is the term b/c actually, very few food items are excluded. Reduced in use, not excluded.

To wit, pizza from the Metro. Their pizza is $ 11 for a large. In this house that s approx 4 meals. Now, that number could go to 5 or 6.
I had pizza twice during the week [ just not a lot, see ? ]. Last night, we ate Tater Tots [ French fries in nugget shape ].

My current theory says that although ' control ' is good, I also am eating 2 brazil nuts a day to supplement trace minerals such as selenium. All just theory but heck, the toal cost is 5 cents a day. And who knows how much gets processed out of our food.

A broken day. Sun for a bit but strong winds and low degrees.

Actually, as 4:30 P rolled around, we saw gold on the tree trunks.

When we reflect on our mistakes, we are supposed to learn. You shouldn't wallow in your errors.

Well, I do. Weeks after I'm still unsettled about the printer.
The story. The laptops that I use are both Chromebooks. The Chrome OS is lauded for speed and versatility. Fast loading [ there is minimal program storage internally ] and responsive.

Typically, a Chromebook comes w/ limited [ ONE ] port ( s ). The rationale is that you add a dongle [ interface hub ] and plug in whatever you need. The Chromebook is reputed to run 5 attached peripherals w/out a glitch.

As well, Chrome OS is touted as delivering almost unlimited adaptability for printers. You hit a button and the OS finds a printer.

Except. I struggled for a year and half when we added a new printer [ an HP ]. At first, I had success and then - frustration. How do you spell ' computer ', ' a - a - r -r -g - h !!!!! '.

One day, four weeks ago [ ? ], I saw a YouTube title, something like ' VPN causing mis - link '. 

OK. Yes, I use a VPN on both Chromebooks. I turned off VPN and as promised the Chromebook found the printer instantly.

I had been placing the Chromebook right beside the printer. The supposed range of the BluTooth sensor on the printer was limited. Nope. 
Now, a room away, the Chromebook finds the printer.

Aarrgh ! Aarr .....rrrr gh !

A cold day again. I've yet to bring in the hoses and turn off the water. Now, the day is bright and welcoming

All right, I promise not to do this all the time. In fact, this may be the last, but the topic is the pixel 6A, the cellphone

well let's talk about features. First of all, Pix6a is going to let me dictate texts, emails and blogger
Next it's camera is multifunctional. It does many things that I didn't dream of but very interesting and I would say useful.

Let's put it this way. I'm betting that 60 % of the ' new ' improved Pixel - Google upgrades, I'll never use.
For example, customized icons. You see, I did try, then realized that I didn't recognize the icon

' duh' how many do you have
not many but it supposed to be easy to use. not if you have to think about what you are seeing

Everything they talk about really doesn't matter when you consider that this phone is as fast as you could possibly want or I could want.

And we've already talked about the features in the camera which are just outstanding.
So I think overall I got myself a phone that's going to be useful for the next oh let's say 4 years. But you have to realize that things change so quickly in the electronic world that I'm not even sure that 4 years out that, I'm going to be using this phone which is really sad.

A cool & almost frigid feeling day arrived w/ the prospect of flurries. the white stuff cometh.

This AM, I went for a fitting of hardware that will be my new implants.

 Painless and digital work was done. As you know, I felt that there would be very little option if both upper back teeth had to go.

 Actually, second last was already out but - boy did the last tooth feel uncomfortable back in July. 

$  $   $ but a solution that will be easy maintenance and cause small to minor difficulties.

The Prime Video offering that I binge watched 'the English ' featured a Pawnee waroior / U.S. army scout and his conflict w/ ... well, every other tribe. However, his main nemesis in the film is a Cherokee ' free trader ' [ here read, brigand ] trying to avenge a massacre of his family. The scout witnessed most of the slaughter.

Well the view this morning 

we're at the point where we can almost look straight across the ravine.
 It's about just under a mile to the back of the No Frills grocery store. That's how many leaves are down. I would say 10% left, yellow colour mostly. No greens of course except for the pine trees.

How is the ' lets control your weight ' program going. Thus, overall, a gradual downward trend in #. And I am getting used to monitoring the carbohydrate choices.
According to many sources, carbohydrate content is unhealthy for a multitude of reasons. Likely, blood sugar levels and calories lead the way.
On evaluation, a typical day for me did start w/ toast. Peanut butter and honey or tomato on toast or egg on toast

ON TOAST. seemed to have been the problem.

In my defence, the prediliction for toast is genetic and habitual. You could say ' culturally, I'm a ' toast - a - holic' . I am a charter member of TA [ toast lovers anonymous ]
