here in the city a person purposefully rammed walkers and standing victims w/ a van.
I try to keep things upbeat in the blog but thought a mention would be alright. In memoriam.
Full sun and close to 50F < on the N facing back porch >. And as the Johns Hopkins crowd sings ' we want more '
On the Telco front. The technician came on Thur last.
He walks around and checks wires etc < inside and outside the house >. He looks down at the modem ( the cable input and output for telephone ) which supplies the house w/ Wi Fi and says, pointing ' Did you pit this here ? '
I replied ' the box ? '
Tech then says ' no, the reducer '
Me : huh ?
Then he gets it, that this isn't my fault.
Thus, he unscrews the reducer on the input port. The explanation is that the original tech put the reducer there to avoid large fluctuations in the signal.
Of course, you don't really need it.
Further, the tech said he noticed the reducer b/c over coffee a week before, an older friend / supervisor had said ' if you get intermittent problems ( us ) on regular TV, take out the reducer '
Thus, had the tech not had coffee or I hadn't called in for service, our intermittent problems were just about guaranteed.
I ran the spreed test on the internet. Last week, I recorded numbers such as 330 Mb/s. To-day, the download speed touched 444 mps. Or up a third give or take.
