Surviving ( # 3098 )

the work detail at the QMH - day 2

The day involves taking ibuprofen as required and icing twice a day. Understand that icing the knee probably would happen anyway. The physio stated that heat is better < usually > post - injury after the swelling goes down. However, the final word was ' if cold makes it feel better, ice away '.

Did I mention ' stiffened thumb ' yesterday ?

After all that moaning, I exercised last night, anyway. I lowered the difficulty by limiting weights to 1 set of reps - same rowing and a bit more ellipticking. Same workout length.

The result was - same sweat - out , lower calories burned < by 10 % > and lower level of effort. The lower effort meant that the workout was more ' fat burn ' and way less ' strenuous '. And I felt better
Ah, live and learn. You see, the calories burned were down from the usual 1 080 or so at 990 but that same 990 happened 4 days before after a regular workout. Maybe, you can imagine that I really could use the ' fat burn ' part of the workout.

I wasn't exhausted last night either < sore but I was sore pre - workout anyway >

Mayhaps, a new format was initiated for exercising here in Scarborough,

We shall see said the Zen Master

Swept through CBC online < for you >, more gloomy than our day here in Scarborough. The highlights, stock prices fall reacting to more oil being pumped by OPEC and CV 19 news was disappointing.

Oh, vax fatigue is showing in Ontario. Uptake of vax is slowing dramatically. Apparently, unvaxd types are waiting to see if vax is needed b/c things are opening up.
