Black Friday Eve or....

........... Thanksgiving Day

I'm not sure which is more significant
Oh , I suppose its the turkey thing - I mean people aren't travelling for Black Friday , are they ?

We are invited to our second American Thanksgiving . the first was an afternoon affair and everyone went home to sleep before getting up at 3 Am for shopping

To -day , is more sane. We are going at 4 Pm and the host doesn't believe in BF shopping. This timing is more like home for our Oct. TD.

I'm not expecting rice which could be a let down.

BTW. In Womans World mag , an article on weight control for the holidays had this advice

Don't skip meals preparing for holiday dining , in the words of the test pilots in the movies the ' right Stuff ',  ' keep an even strain '

Worried about rich desserts ? Drink milk w/ the sweet treat. Milk helps block absorption of fat up to 20 %.

Turkey left overs are good b/c eating protein is more satisfying but less fattening b/c you tend to burn calories after a protein meal , say 30 % of meal as protein.

Eating re - heated carbohydrates such as pasta / rice / potatoes is beneficial b/c cooked / refrigerated / and re - cooked carbs are converted to starch resistant food. Meaning that your body absorbs less starch but you feel full

Now , how useful is this ? dunno

But I eat re - heated potatoes / rice , all the time

OKAY , bring on that bird !!!
