Try , Try.....

Got out twice ,yesterday. No trolley problem , no fish.  Well , 2 bass , for 4 hrs. TG , its not my sole source of income.

The weather was sultry and cooled quickly and now , a high has settled over us ... and we have cool , sunny , and really stupendous weather.

The adventure : The main floor bath at the ' bee , has been draining slowly. So slow , its probably faster to bail the water. Finally , action was needed
Went up there , armed w/ the ' Home Depot  - You Can Do It ' book. This tome is actually quite dangerous , well meaning handyman rely on it.
I studied the 2 relevant pictures and descriptions on ' unclogging your bath tub drain. Only to find , you got it , neither one matched our stopper assembly.
Ah , YouTube. Found the right video and managed to use 60 % of the allotted data on the ' hotspot '.
I got the stopper out and using ' the Zip Out Cobra ; ,  a plastic strip w/ backward facing teeth ( in lieu of a bent coathangar ) the dead rat ( clog  ) came out.
Now , the truth is , w/ the Cobra , you probably don't need to remove the stopper.
But it did make me feel , as though , I did something
and the hair etc comes out a little easier. It was possible to reach down approx 10 in w/ the Cobra.

In the videos on YT , some guys did pull out clogs the size of rats.
Alas , I cna only claim , a hairball.

I took a video of  ' island life ' as an island meandered down the river and quite luckily ( for me ) a cruiser was going the other way and dodged the island ( not lucky for the cruiser captain , he must have been wondering , just how big the floater was , b/c he gave the thing about 20 yds , leeway )
