Then I got to thinking of the line   ' politics happens when more than one person is involved in a conversation '(paraphrased , somewhat )   Thus  , if you talk to yourself and there's an argument - well its not political and crazy , only crazy

As well , many personal issues don't get a mention here - TG

Is politics , interesting ? Yes , only if you don't have a horse in the race. If your horse is involved , it then devolves into stupidity , thoughtlessness and loathsome behaviour - then on the brightside is .......
( kidding , kidding ) but you know exactly what I meant

I get a chance to see older movies e.g. ' All the President's Men '.
Seen w/ perspective , AtPM can be seen superficially as interesting.
I've heard the time of the Watergate burglary and subsequent inquiry and events , described as that moment when America lost its innocence.
The line in AtPM that stands out is when someone at the Washington Post ( Ben Bradley ???? ) says ' its ridiculous why would they do it ? ' 
And I'm thinking of the line from ' Instrumentalities of the Night '
...' in war and politics , don't waste time looking for deceit or conspiracy when stupidity and incompetence can explain the situation '
 I guess they forgot about that line  at the W. Post

As well , the truism , no politician thinks that they will ever get caught ... applies ..... they have such a disdain for normal rules of morality
I believe they all got that line ' I love my country ' , down pat. And scarier still that they believe it. They just forget / forgot what it means
