This AM , I saw motion on the back deck as I went to make coffee.
20 minutes later , again , this time the blur stopped and looked in.
A fox was inspecting the disturbance.
The fox has returned 3 X and once was curled up on the cushion on the deck chair. He looked comfy. I shooed him off.
I picked up the battery for the laptop from the Post Office. I opened the package - oops ! different size. I tried and , bazinga it fit ! Awkward looking at the back end but it fits. Its ass got way bigger The laptop is on charge.
On checking the numbers , both batteries old and new are 11.1 V , this is an important # as it is the basic power ' push ' #. The other #s e.g. 2200 mAh now 4400 mAh mean that potentially the higher # means longer battery life. And the 25 Wh , now 44 Wh means the same thing if the voltage is the same , and it is. So , of course , more power bigger battery pack,
BTW , this battery was the small one , the other one on offer was a 5600 mAh
I'm guessing that I just bought extra laptop life while on batteries.
Problem , always , right ? - the ventilation pad doesn't seem to work.
The heat build up from laptops is one of the big bugaboos of laptops. Most laptops throw off mega heat and are poor at venting this heat.
On the main laptop , a brace underneath keeps the laptop from touching the desk allowing for air circulation to cool.
We shall see.
Weather : summer - time , sunny , blue sky and humidity rising
- this will be for 2 - 3 more days than we cool.
Later that day: Reporting , fox gone
battery charged and seems to work
fan , now , works
