The view from here in the living room is summery. sunshine and green. The dogwoods have perked up a bit. However , no doubt there is brown to the edges of some plants. Foliage is still complete w/ no sign of bare spots. A very moderate 65F on the back deck.

I alluded to the national election and at this juncture there is pretty much a 3 way tie for the polling lead. And controversy has popped up. A candidate for the Conservative party was revealed to be a contractor who was caught on a Marketplace granny cam. In the house that he was working in ,he used a cup from the drainboard , urinated in the cup , dumped the contents in the sink , rinsed and returned the cup to the drainboard. This incident is now known as ' pea - gate '. The party dismissed his party membership.
#2 , a Conservative hopeful was revealed to have v- logged about how he imitated ' retarded ' persons as a prank. He further pretended to be disabled to complain to businesses. Gone.
Well , this is Canada and we don't quite get the same oomph ! from politics as south of the 49 th.
Our dollar rose in value to .7576 of the greenback which still makes us way second class ciitzens vis a vis finances. However , we are in luck , a Cdn dollar is still worth a dollar here in sGWN. The dollar store hasn't changed its name - even though most of what I buy there costs 1.25
