two days ago a fox sauntered through the backyard
today a deer
We are not talking Bambi but a full size - horned male
but limping, kinda dragging his rear right foot
He made it up from the ravine and thats 60 ft.
However, dogs come up to our tableland and this poor guy is not outrunning a dog
I called Toronto wildlife Services < in case > for advice
Weather is damp and gray but the temperature should rise over what we've been getting which isn't a lot
P.S. Wildlife Services said monitor the deer, in extremis the police will come out and dispatch the deer
BTW - fox trotted past 20 min ago
If I'm in extremis, please don't call the police
you can imagine what they do to the deer
