Thus, it came to pass. 
Outside Kingston, 2 1/2 h East of here, the 401 < read I-401 >was closed. The emergency responders directed a bus load of injured to  sent 16 people to medical facilities. Its not clear but the chain reaction collision may have involved upward of 50 35 cars.
There was a death but no information of cause etc.
And hundreds of vehicles were trapped in a mess of autos etc.
However, stranded motorists were sent by bus to warming shelters.

Ugly is acceptable in describing the roads.
