Sandy and Me

Tues. AM ----- Leaves everywhere, wind howled, rain bounced off the windows and the satellite flickered and went out for some minutes.

The big S barely touched us. 45 K are w/out power in Ont.

The other day I tried a pomelo. About the size of a pineapple, pomelo is the largest of the citrus fruits.
On YouTube, chef Paul demonstrated how to open / dissect a pomelo. Mine was slightly dry but separated easily. Tastes better than a grapefruit - way less sour.
Pomelo contain %120 of the vitamin C you need in a day.
Did I report the pomelo was a gift from next door ? Now I need to report back.

Now ,its Wed.
Visited QMH , definitely less wind effect up there. QMH had already had 2 major blows Sep - Oct, so most stuff was down, if it was falling.

Our power went out to-day, for about 3 minutes at noon. Figure someone hit the wrong key on their master control board.

I bought a new cell ph for M. Her cell ph is a dinosaur from 7 yrs ago. in tech terms thats 4 generations.
This Alcatel356 is a ' qwerty ' ph. Its meant for young people. The keys are so small that I can almost make out the letters.
The deal ph is $50 but if you take a $50 voucher - the discount is $20. Therefore , all in, $ 80.
Downside is the cost / min is 25 cents. However, that voucher is good for a year . The new ph will be used for 7 months a year. My 2 phones on the same system (via 7-11 stores called SpeakOut ) cost 40 and 30 dollars from Apr - Nov. This period represents the most intense usage for either ph.

Actually, I'm just cheap and not connected technically.

To-day is cloudy w/ rainy patches but that doesn't mean there was sun. Wind is negligible.
