An Arctic Vortex is sweeping through the top of North America
And sweeping through CBC....... Pandemic. Variants. Vaccine
Case counts are falling throughout Canada, in general. However, local hotspots are appearing centred on cities mostly. Limited data, leads scientists to assume that a vaccinated person is less likely to infect others.
Coffee on the table. Typing about life. M fell in September doing the garbage bins. The index finger was cut in the fall and surgery reinforced the ligament damage. The aftermath involved the removal of the nail on the ring finger. Thus, 2 fingers have been causing problems.
The ring finger has been throbbing fro 2 weeks. Off and on. I took a look but didn't see a problem. Antibiotic ointment was not too effective. Yesterday, using the Lee Valley magnifier and light stand < had to get that in there >, it became clear that a new nail was growing into the skin on the finger margin - ingrown.
So yes, I did surgery and cut out the little corner. Dada ! Pain gone and the finger is getting better. To be fair, I think M was wondering how much I enjoyed hurting her as I got under that nail but she hung tough and obviously it was worth it. She is smiling now.
Yesterday, I moved the new BBQ outside - I mean this is Scarberia and the little sucker is going to have to get used to the mild weather here.
